Appreciation

Topic: Lifepoems

Life moves on-
sometimes fast,
sometimes slow.

All you can do
is try to keep up,
and hope for the best.

Time goes on,
whether you are ready,
or not.

Wounds can heal,
just as love
can be lost-
there is optimism,
but also negativity.

Sadness and pain
can grasp your body
in a heartbeat.

Terror and chaos
can overtake your joy
in a second.

The world is always moving,
the time is always changing.

You'll never know
what happens next-
you could smile,
you could cry,
you could be happy,
you could die.

Nothing will pause for you,
time won't stop for you.

It's always moving-
life and time,
time and life.

So much can change,
so much can begin,
so much can die.

You never know
what time will bring,
it could be good,
it could be bad.

Now I see,
I should take
my time,
my love,
and my life,
to care for my friends,
and love my family.

I'll never know
what I'll still have tomorrow,
so I'll just appreciate
each moment I have.

Loved your poem very inspirational. I loved the line "I'll never know what I'll still have tomorrow." Beautifully written.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
