simply.

Topic: LovePoetry

we sit quietly across from each other.

there is but the sounds of
a scratching pen and
pale fingers tapping on
keyboard.

i devour you from this meager distance,

your skin of frail flowers,
one shade away from death and
absolutely beautiful

the scruff on your cheeks
that i know you left for me
because you are a very clean man,
and know that i love that shadow

your very European nose
and jawline,

the web of crow's feet around the eyes
that are ice to the world
but warm oceans
when i laugh

and with all of these foolish attempts to capture you,
my tenebrous god, my pallid enigma,

i fall short and
crash into
my failure,

burning sweetly

as i look up for a moment
and find you gazing
with that little smirk i classify
as a smile,

quietly
filling my world

The desire to be noticed
some what despicable but human the same
smiles do move endorphins
in turn reducing the pain in our hearts
if only for that moment
commenable write

I've been away far to long ( malware) but I am
happy to find , upon my return, that your writing still holds the same power. You still
seem to capture with words those feelings
that others ( myself included) struggle to even
hold onto let alone define and elaborate on.
I've missed you and am off to read some more of the poems you've posted in my absence. Hope you are well , truly , Dusty
