Desire’s Glow

Desire’s Glow

As I was walking one night past your house
Things were so silent you could hear a mouse
From inside your place I could see a unique glow
I wanted to find the source, I had to know

I walk to the door and begin to feel the heat
The sense of anticipation flows from my head to my feet
Opening the door and looking inside
I catch a glimpse of you as you try to hide

I tell you I think you are in danger from some sort of fire
You whisper from around the corner that the glowing is your desire
Continuing to explain that you are concerned that I might have fear
Attempting to ease your concerns I tell you it is you I want to be near

Afraid of heat from any fire is not a fear that I hold
I Rush into burning buildings, yes I am that bold
I walk closer to you and the heat takes my breath away
Gaining composure, I tell you that here is where I want to stay

Taking your hands in mine and pulling you close to me
You tell me you have waited so long for my face to see
As we kiss your fire begins to consume my entire soul
To enjoy the pleasure of our desires is the ultimate goal

Whether it be in the passionate battles of making love
Or just sitting hand in hand listening to the cooing dove
As we melt into one our lives have achieved that internal peace
That before could not exist, too much turmoil to release

I quite like this!
Desire really does have a glow doesn't it? well at least I think so!
There is a great sense of security within this poem which is very comforting....
"Whether it be in the passionate battles of making love
Or just sitting hand in hand listening to the cooing dove" this has got to be my favourite part x
Very, very nice...
