Lost Soul

Surrounded by her family,
and yet she feels alone.
this life that she has lived,
has turned her heart to stone.

No one seems to understand,
just what she's going through,
or why she has that dark place,
that she just slips into.

Or why she doesn't seem to speak,
or say what's on her mind.
waiting for a kind word,
or the comfort she can't find.

She feels just like a creature,
sent from outer space,
no one seems to know her,
or recognize her face.

I really think it's sad,
it shouldn't be this way.
if they had only listened,
to what she had to say.

Just another lost soul,
they say it was a shame.
but no one wants to feel the loss,
or even share the blame..

they say it was a shame.
but no one wants to feel the loss,
or even share the blame..
