IT COMES FROM WITHIN

Contributed by TOMH on Sunday, 3rd January 2010 @ 05:51:56 AM in AEST
Topic: poets

Is it special, good, or even real? I am not certain at times how I feel.
Could it be reaction from drug, food or drink? That affects the way that I think.
Is it me? Moving pencil or pen. Writing words not normally said.
Questions do often arise. As I try to create my prize.

Where words come from I don't really know. I guess I will just let them flow.
Try to keep the spark in my heart. As words flow from wherever they start.
What is this presentation about? Other Poets may know and may shout.
Use words more creative and wise, with more dignity, marvel and surprise.

Remember, we all aim to please. Please who? We don't often know.
We must let words, letters flow. Let them land where they may.
Let us all hope for a better day.

Tom Harbaugh

A much more peaceful piece I must admit x
I don't really know where our words come from, but still they come,
and we all feel compelled to write them. All the same, no one could posibly agree
with every word, and if we did
that would make us totally useless. Diversity is so good, debate, provocation of thought,
the very choice to like or dislike is essential.
This poem is real, & very relevant x

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
