Grief
|
Sometimes, at least not completely,
I have no reason why.
But it takes all my earthly power,
Not to break and cry.
Is sadness almost like a wave?
An ancient thread we share?
That’s weaving through all our lives,
A common burden we bear?
But surely if there were a God,
He’d see the pain and know.
But He’s always silent, unwilling,
And I know not why it’s so.

Well, who doesn´t know those days: Everything is so sad, so unjust, the world is a terrible place...sniff ;)
Sometimes I feel that way myself. Anyway, there are happier days coming again.
God- maybe he doesn`t exist, maybe he just made the world and left it then, or whatever. I´d recommand you to never trust in God or religion, as it's both cure and cancer... I myself believe that all our ethics, all morality we believe in is our own God, a personification for sanity and the best in a man´s heart...deus ex machina humana
However, the poem is well written, especially the last verse is cool (and way controversial ;))
