I know
I think they do too
But still we go down
Search for a distraction
Never a true work spoken
Looks like we need a fire
But when we get close
We get warm
Then fall asleep
Then do it all again
A new trophy
A new happiness
Followed, surely
A new consolation
A new sadness
On we go like this
Building empires
And flying to the moon
The poor moon, so wise
Teach us, if only we could hear your silence
