I Can't Forget the Memories

Contributed by Kirby on Sunday, 6th April 2003 @ 05:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Once upon a lifetime.
I fell hard into love.
We had some fun.
But I was not his only one.
He went behind my back.
Cheated and stole.
But now I pay the toll.
I go through my days.
Thinking of how I went wrong.
How everything went away so quickly.

Yet now I have a husband.
He cares and loves me greatly.
He’ll never treat me like you did.

You took my heart and broke it.
After our time was up.
It tore me up too.

But that was then.
This is now.
That’s behind me.
I’m married.
Yet that’s no excuse.
You’ll always remember your first love.
Nothing else is quite like it.
So virgin and such an unknown territory.

But I’m in love now.
With someone different.
So why can’t I get you out of my head?
