Pretty and Disaster

You’re so pretty.
Even you will surely insist,
To look at yourself in the mirror,
How could you hardly resist?

TV lights make you look smart.
A camera is always your friend.
Why would anyone not love you?
You just can’t comprehend.

Then your eyes begin to twinkle.
Your smile – a sight to behold!
As you begin to instruct the public,
Of a disaster about to unfold.

Death and destruction will be rampant!
No one will get out alive!
But what does that matter to you?
As long as your ratings survive.

Sure, you can look concerned.
You might even shed a tear.
But another story comes shortly,
And you don’t want your makeup to smear.

But as I look at your face more closely,
And disregard all the noise and applause,
I begin to see things more clearly,
That you’re nothing more than a fraud!

If one refuses this indoctrination,
And looks with a critical eye,
You really begin to consider,
The story might be a big fat lie!

But who cares about a little distortion.
Pretty and disaster mix well!
And beside, with the millions of viewers,
They’ve got commercials to sell.

Well written like this.
Take care
Fuzzy
But who cares about a little distortion.
Pretty and disaster mix well!
And beside, with the millions of viewers,
They’ve got commercials to sell.

Funny thing is, nothing last forever and even the ratings will die. Quite an interesting read.

Thank you,

Tim

So many souls for sale
The lights are so blinding many fail to notice
all for 15min of fame and we just feed the beast
a refreshing look at the truth
