oops

You always know when to call,
Or how I hate to lie.
You always call me out the nights
When all I want to do is cry.
You step in and fix everything
No matter how many times I’ve watched you die.
I can’t believe you could do so much
And ignore your pain to get through mine.
So here I sit, crying again.
You’ll never know how you’ve saved me from sin.
I wish I could let you know,
But sentiment is something I no longer show.
The one I cry for drove me to this,
Yet the one I betray saves me again.
So here I sit,
Just trying to make the pieces fit.
Can’t believe I fell back in again.
Can’t accept the loss of a friend.
Yet this doesn’t hurt as much as it should,
And I can’t help thinking it could be for a better good.
I just don’t want to lose him, I can’t let him know
That he still means more to me than I could ever begin to show.
So I cry to God, fighting again.
Maybe that was always my biggest sin.
