Already Gone

Topic: SongLyrics

You'd think id learn by now
How to put the fire out
How to save you
But i couldnt even save me
because all i wanted to be
was in you
but no a promise isnt enough
all i could offer was love

So you took life away
Just the last price to pay
So i tried to hold on
but you were already gone
we could have started over
with nothing else left to cover
while turning right to wrong
but you were already gone

we used to crawl through life
dream that vacancy didnt mean a knife
you let yourself out
by taking a part of me with you
theres nothing left to do
because the past cant shine through

So you took life away
Just the last price to pay
So i tried to hold on
but you were already gone
we could have started over
with nothing else left to cover
while turning right to wrong
but you were already gone

Maybe if you saw the world
You'd see what they say
were all just a little too late

So you took life away
Just the last price to pay
So i tried to hold on
but you were already gone
we could have started over
with nothing else left to cover
while turning right to wrong
but you were already gone
