In Between..

Topic: Lifepoems

I am standing still and beneath me is a red volcano ready to erupt,
On both my hands are silver ropes twisted spiral and abrupt..

Towards one side it’s all black and white, visible plus bright..!
On the other side I saw colors radiant and new, Oh What a delight..!!

Trying to decipher what I see, I look left, right and in between;
A smile twitched when I realized what I had seen..!

On my left was the life I lived till today, simple and easy;
And on my right I was holding the future, unknown and hazy..!

I knew I had to hold one or none the next minute,
Nervous of what’s in store for me, I simply closed my eyes..!

Very soon I realized the silver ropes slipping by,
And I was holding a firm and soft hand to one of my sides..!
