Blind men have seen in dreams what it all could mean
Now with blood spilling from your vacant eyes
The truths you whispered are lies you wish you would have told
Years spent learning understanding is the pain of growing old
This pride you so desperately cling to
Was born the shadow of thousands broken promises
Because peace in life can only be found in stories
And sanity in the uneducated eyes of children
Hero's will die for what they believe in
While cowards bathe in their fabricated glory

This poem is very powerful I can't emphasize how discouraging this world so full of lies can be We send our children off all their lives believing the lies so deep That most burst a blood vessel if you question i.e Patriots Awesome step forward, truly enlightening -D.Truth |
