Do You Ever

Contributed by Dreamer18 on Saturday, 5th April 2003 @ 06:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I still think of you everyday.
In my mind you stay.
I try not to,
Because you love her and there’s nothing that I can do.
I can only remember the past.
Remember how nothing ever could last.
I can remember when you’d hold me,
And how you’d kiss me ever so gently.
So you think of the time that we spent together?
Tell me, do you ever?
Do you ever lay in bed at night and wonder about me?
Have you ever tried to see?
To see
Exactly what you mean to me?
Will you ever see what I love so much about you?
See all the things that I’m willing to do?
For you I would die.
And I would never cheat or lie.
But she has hasn’t she?
She’s cheated and lied but still with her is where you want to be.
I will never be that important to you will I,
No matter how hard I try?
So I suppose I should just give up hope
And learn to cope.
To cope with all the tears and the pain.
To cope with slowly going insane.
To cope with not being able to be in your arms all day.
Instead they are around her and there’s nothing that I can say.
But no matter what I’ll always love you
And that will be forever true.
