Fly little bird
High into the sky
Your white light is waiting
No more need to cry
No pain shall you suffer
Nothing more to endure
You won't be forgotten
A soul peaceful and pure
Your eyes will still sparkle
And song still be heard
Your white light is waiting
Now, fly little bird

Sometimes death is a very difficult thing for us to accept. Even though it is inevitable, it can still be difficult. When my sister died I wanted to think that at least her suffering was over because obviously in this life it was. This would be a beautiful poem to dedicate to those who have suffered from a horrible death.
You delicately wrote an exquisite little piece with finesse and beauty. Very well done.
I wish I could be as positive as a thinker as you are.
Take care and thank you very much for an enjoyable read. You took sadness and made it beautiful.
Tim
