I stared today without seeing
Blinded eyes, performing without error
Controlled by thoughts as images flowed in front
I heard it, the water
But all I saw was them
So beautiful as they followed the contours of the course
“I miss you”
I was still as I watched them
Trapped by my character
Haunted by my conscience
Unable to stop them as I heard the drift of time laugh at me
“Remember me when you get to the bottom”, I sobbed.
I reached out to nothing as my empty eyes came into focus
And left behind the puddle of moments they gave me as I walked away

Oh my!
“Remember me when you get to the bottom”, I sobbed.
I reached out to nothing as my empty eyes came into focus
And left behind the puddle of moments they gave me as I walked away
This is so beautiful, and so sad, it made my heart ache... really ache x
