The great fall

Contributed by DemonQueen on Wednesday, 16th December 2009 @ 08:46:40 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Feel the burn, that lasting ache
Your perfect world begins to shake
He can't see the good you are
Distance grows, you feel so far
Shoot the ones who shot you down
You're in too deep and now you'll drown
You wish for him to mend your heart
To fix inside, that broken part
But he just laughs, despite your pains
Resentment fills your flowing veins
Inside your mind, repressing thoughts
Where are friends? they're gone....or lost
Sometimes you wish the dreams weren't real
To give your pride some time to heal
You stood up proud, and took the fall
Was the drop well worth it after all?
What's left to show your victory
but battle scars and memories?
Nothing now, that's what you have
He took it all, and won't give back
Just let him go, he's lost it all
Give the man a wake up call
Let him see what he's done wrong
He'll finally see that you're strong

I love love love this. Sometimes, you have to let someone go so that they can realize what they've missed. You can feel the strength in the words.. Don't ever let anyone tell you that giving up is weakness. The truest strength is in knowing when to go and when to stay.
Sorry for the rambling comment, just a truly great write. Take care.
