Home it is higher, than their eyes can see.
If they cant see it, how can it be?
They take the word, from he who has heard.
Backward he guides them, like a shephard with his herd.
Onwards they go, through the dirt and the snow.
They beg for forgiveness, which hes happy to show.
Now we all know, he is crooked and spent.
The words of his message have been truly bent.

A very thought provoking poem.
It's very interesting you describe it in the way
"backwards he guides them", yet "onwards
they go", a really fabulous use of words here
well done!
