Sometimes the pain is so close
That I can almost touch it with my hands
And hold it in my shaking arms
Sometimes it hurts like toothache
Comes faster than a train
I close my mind to try and stop it
But here it comes again
My heart’s been torn wide open
So what is left for me to lose?
All my confidence has left me
My wings are broke and bruised
And the sun comes brightly through my windows
And the loving look of my children
And the tears that won’t stop flowing
I so need someone to hold me
For here it comes again
