To His Next

Contributed by BabyDollNikki91 on Monday, 14th December 2009 @ 01:00:02 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

i'm giving you my heart with his...
I'm giving you a chance with this...
He's been my world for so long...
Please, don't make me feel like I'm wrong...
Make him happy, since i can't now...
Avoid hurting him, in any way you know how...
You're getting my life...
Don't cut through it with his knife...
If he's hurt, so am I...
One more blow, and I will die...
I'm trusting you to take care of him...
Make his life, for now, never dim...
It's very hard for me to give him up this way...
But if i don't, I'll hurt more and more, day to day...
So take him from me...
Give me this chance to set myself free...
He's yours now, so take him from my life...
Maybe you can be the one to pull out his knife...
Please, don't use this to hurt me more...
Just be the one to help open a new door...
New for us both, and maybe the best...
Only time will be the test...
So do your hardest to pass it...
Now i'll ask you to be my breathing kit...
Don't let me regret this choice...
Just be the one to put happiness back in his voice...
Take care of him for me...
Now I'll set myself free...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
