He wrestled with the monster fish The phantom of the lake Eight pound test was just enough His line would give and take
Three hours later the battle done The monster floating still It could not move the mighty tail It could not move its' gill
Why do you eat the fish of life To keep your family fed Why do the birds fly to the fish On shorelines rotting dead
I'd ask my dad why do you cry When cooking time is here Because my son , It's never fun To mix mommy fish with beer

Oh my GOd! LOL !!!! Good fishing tale here.
The ending really got me.
I loved the verse start to finish.
One thing I have trouble with is this type of format, that is just me though.
Maybe put it in stanza's??
Anyway loved the poem.
