refined within your negligence
I endeavor kindness
for I have graphed the marks
you've left on me
they settle in to fissures, deep within my spine
tingle there & overlapping, form
the crystal stalk that bids me strength
I am not this tattered memory. . .
husk that you've forsaken
blue-black context twisted in a scream
I am not evasive. . . contemplating. . .
just. . .
a butterfly on a string

No one deserves the scars of abusive control freaks. Even though I feel much pain in this write, you still rule the metaphor world and write so exquisitely!!!
I hope that string someday breaks.

I really liked this. Pain...emotional and physical...brings forth excellent poetry.
Very well done my friend

Love these words my dear Elle.
I am not this tattered memory. . .
husk that you've forsaken
blue-black context twisted in a scream
I see a gothic tattered butterfly in my mind's eye. Fly free!
Love,
