UNFINISHED LIFE

Contributed by Alexa_Bachtel on Friday, 11th December 2009 @ 12:49:02 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

One dank autumn evening
I've come to the fortuneteller
I never trusted in predictions,
And it was only for an entertainment.

The fortuneteller took my hand,
And long considered something on it,
Then she's looked me in the eyes and told,
That the Thursday will be rainy,
She's told that I would get a good luck
Also that I will not live to twenty five.

I ain't believed, but on Thursday was rainy,
And I've thought that it's just coincidence,
I led the life, without reflecting on the future,
I wrote songs, I sang, I gave to people light,
All was as usually.

And then I've happened the guy,
He's smiled to me, and I've smiled back,
We've got to talking, and I've invited him to walk...
Two years have flown by as one day,
Because he became the one I wrote songs, sang
And gave the light for.

A lot of years later I've recollected that fortuneteller,
Rainy Thursday, the good luck and my own death,
And I'm afraid what if tomorrow will not come for me,
Because I have everything that I ever wanted,
My songs, my favorite person, my life...
My unfinished life.

What have I made for all my life?
I loved and gave light,
I sang and wrote songs,
I lived, without leaving myself anything.
I spent a life for others,
I've even given heart to the one I love,
Without having left crumbs for myself.

And now I look in his eyes,
And store a most terrible secret,
Which will break his heart,
Oh, my God, even if the death will come for me,
Don't leave him alone, let 'em love again.

This was a very interesting read, in real life my sister went to see a psychic after here husband passed away, and he told her personal things that in NO way could he have known or found out about.

Take care.

I like your story (telling) style.
