To Be Young

I am young.
I think that I need you, that you are It.
I have come to the conclusion that I miss you,
And that if Fate brought us together I'd not know what to do
Because you're beauty is unmatched.
So I sit, regretting moments that have passed,
Hoping moments will come again.
I am young.
But now, you are not It, just One.
You are beautiful, but you strive on your own as I do.
Moments that I have let pass are just that, and it is in fact
Fate that things have happened to what they are now.
My time missing you was time wasted
And now I only hope common sense can engulf you with realism as it did me.
I was young.
Happiness is a fixation of the mind.
What we believe is the only truth we have.
Not that I am sad, just that I am a strong believer.
You must believe in yourself, must be happy.
I've taught myself to believe I do not care, and I was
Young when I believed I was the one who could bring you happiness.
So missing you is under the line,
Rather missing what I used to believe.
I miss being young.
