To A Goddess

Sitting within myself, clothed in darkness
I watch through a transparent shield
A perfect creature who has been blessed
Woman to whom my love I would yield
A perfect Goddess; Nothing less.
Clothed within your shimmering golden hue
To your beauty, the legendary Helen would pale
Before you all the great ones pay due
Within my eyes you could never ail
Anything for you I would do.
Lowly and wretched am I before you
For in perspective, I am the hunchback
But this love I would offer is true
For you, I would rip the moon off its track
There is nothing I wouldn’t go through.
For this perfect goddess, my lips sing praise
To you my own reclusive heart I would reveal
Above the common masses, you I would raise
Upon my knees to you I would kneel
You, I will carry for all of my days.
