A Sailor

I was rowing my boat against the bright white waves,
My narrow canoe was light and had shades of blue and grey..
I loved the cool breeze gushing through my hairs,
Just like his fingers moved in my locks showing utmost care..!
Soft crystals of snowflakes pecked on my cheeks,
And I missed his tender kisses and the air he breathed..!
I rowed ahead fighting water in my eyes and below,
Nothing was left in my world without him anymore..!
I missed the snug, the hug and the cuddling up,
Ahead was a waterfall which I earnestly ignored..
I loved to lay in my dream world, even if I was alone..
Perpetually moving, gravity’s slave was my dear canoe..!
With a sudden speed I was falling down,
I said his name for the last time with a smile which had long gone…
