In the eyes of many

In the eyes of many
By Adam M. Bland

When one dream dies
then another one rises and begins to grow
different shapes, different sizes, and different flows
but when one dream is shared in the heads of many
then we begin to see strength come together,
However these heads I speak of used to possess
not a single penny,
In fact I will use the term “dead broke”,
Because if a man works his vision blurry for no wage
And begins to age into grown folk
Then what has he been living for?
Maybe he was forced into submission
And now his heart, along with spirit
And mind are in the worst condition.
It’s a very sad sight when these men
And women share the same welts,
Cuts, and bruises and broken down spirits,
Therefore their flame diffuses.
Blackness of the heart makes it own mark with a thick line
But all evil will completely dissipate in due time.
Time, also known as the essence of elevation
For people looking way out,
Because one body goes through infinite struggles.
Similar to a puzzle that’s not complete
Because of one piece.
The lynching had to cease for those sharing the same pigment on their skin
Or at least relevant, and finally the group was born
Sworn to fight for those whom couldn’t do it themselves
Against in-justice
Fighting those who turned it into just us.
Now in order to light the fire again
A mother must lose a son,
Another boy must lose his best friend.
The signal was an honest whistle to a woman not of color
But since he was a brother
This is like first degree murder.
After young Emett was finally unrecognizable
The table of rage was flipped
Right side up because of a child holding death’s cup.
People do gain more strength
When they have something to fight for
Or want more of something they already have
And at last work was to be completed done
Because one misstep and the group would be terminated
Bringing tears to the eyes of God’s Son.
So as long as we are on the subject
Let’s begin to expose the final suspects.
When the time came they were
Ready and still are to this today,
Maybe not like in the past
But different generations don’t act the same way.
Maybe it’s because Dr. King jr. is not with us
But the fight still goes on
Even as I stand here alive
In the eyes of those who need to hear
Why the group must go on
Some may not agree with the way they handle business
Or do what they feel
But a great deal want to see the action
For their own eyes
And to their surprise, the group NAACP was their
Will they be the destruction of all that is fair?
No this is probably one of the craziest assumptions.
Because mind-full people turn nothing into something
But now it’s vice versa, debt infiltrates the core.
What can they accomplish
If they have nothing to show for?
And when leaders separate their hands
From the hands of their followers
Then organized confusion dwells in the brain
Until they withhold the next campaign for corrupt officials.
What happened to the flame given by the signal?
Did they forget the civil rights movement
Or was it all a hoax,
Certainly not because if so then they must’ve already answered
To God and our kin – folk.
They still need a little guidance
From those who knew and experienced pain and distraught first hand.
But Man O’ Man there’s still a long way to go
We know this because of the time we live in
As these people begin to show their faces again
Mr. President gave them a small warning to follow
Will they decide to make their hearts hollow
Or swallow whatever pride they have left in their minds?
The smart thing to do is leave behind the evil still caged within
And when dissipated then it’ll be safe to begin to proceed to the goal
Of becoming spiritually stronger
How long it takes all depends on them alone
The quicker home is seen the quicker the cycle can turn
for the people who yearn for answers and understanding
Demanding the group be brought to them
With proper handling.
Their success mainly comes from involvement in main problems
Without that they begin to back track
And no one is there to solve them.
For what it’s worth the work is very well appreciated
The men and women who hated what they stood for now begin
To see what has been seen in the eyes of many.
