Errors In Composition

Almost every scripture,
Every text to be perused,
Holds a jot of deviation
And uncertainty infused.
Faults are often minor,
Like a small grammatical flaw,
Or a simple spelling folly
One could easily ignore.
Content could be tasteless,
And semantics incorrect.
But even these are lapses
That a critic could neglect.
But while studying their own work,
Writers are severe.
Their fixations with their errors
Make their successes so unclear.
But others mostly aren’t so harsh,
So judging and precise.
Of another’s inaccuracy
One may not even think twice.
Yet writers see the blemishes
With a cruel misconception.
For each text is uniquely crafted,
Leaving no room for perfection.

Very true. I am severely critical of my own work, and find it very difficult to enjoy or appreciate it properly.
We are, as the cliche goes, our own worst enemies.
