Lost in yesterdays fires
That were my past dwells
Hope runs right out of
The inkwell aimed straight
At your heart maybe you
Will dream of me as I
Learn to dream again
I really was not looking
But out you came our
life’s path seems the same
When I think of you
I know you are lost
In another’s dream
All I pray is that one day
Your eyes will open and
You will see me without blame
Life seems so unfair is
it to much to ask for to
Run my hands through
Your hair to see you
In the morning light
You inspire me more than
Anything else in this life
And I really do care
I send you all my love
as this flows out of my pen
Shot straight into your
heart caught in life’s snare….
