This is the Tango of Lost Souls
Many have disappeared
Never knowing the real meaning of love
Going from place to place
Never understanding those feelings inside
This is the Tango of Lost Souls
Without understanding
There is no trust
Without trust
There is no love
Nothing can survive
Without love
Those hands rake you in
Bring you so close, you can’t breathe
You’ve become a victim
Of their web
You’re free to leave
But there is no escape
I’ve fallen to the prey of this sultry dance
I’ve been swallowed by the array of colors
I’ve now been forced to dance
Dance this treacherous tango
I shall be free never more
This is the Tango of Lost Souls

Not bad. It sort of moves like a tango, a jilty, dark, passionate dance.
The second stanza doesn't really fit with the others. What happens if you take it out? You may have to take out the line about the real meaning of love, too, since the stanza kind of explains that. |
