Dance On

Spinning words to entrance,
Tracing with hands my dance,
Your mystery, your darkness
Beckons me, pulls me toward
No choice but to move forward.
Your spin, your persuasive grin,
The will-he-won’t-he; the mystery.
Sliding hands, you dance too
Where did you ever learn?
Slippery precision of words,
A key, a trigger, something falls
Locked into place, another hint
Wanted glut but given mere stint.
Want, want more; that is your trick.
Dance on, even in your absence,
I feel you here when I dance alone
Hear your whisper “Dance on.”
A rush, a tumble, a tear, you gone?
Indulge in want, but still dance on.
Return, I beg of you certainty,
Begging in vain; we both know
The thrill of it all is the wonder when
Wondering when you will return again.

Oh my, this is precious. There is both pleasure and pain rolled into the words, but they are done so with an exquisite captivation. This is like something I remembered and that is a wonderful thing for a poet to encourage. :) Well done!!
