Broken Alone

LoveRemembered
|
One whole week has passed me by
And still my heart continues to cry
These thoughts of her in my head
Those times, moments we shared in bed
The taste of her sweat on my lips
My hand firmly on her hips
A crescendo of passion in her sigh
It was together we would often cry
Alone, never to sleep I toss and turn
Where slowly each memory begins to burn
A scar in time that may never heal
What is now memory will never be real
This too a death to face in so many ways
And always in my life her picture stays
One week may yet become a year
But even then I know I will shed a tear

The expression of sadness and yearning excel in this poem. I love the way it's written and can oh so totally relate.
Beautifully written.
Take care and thank you for an enjoyable read.
