What Felt Like Nothing

Contributed by sorrowsofabrokenheart on Friday, 27th November 2009 @ 12:53:17 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

The stars fell from the sky tonight
And I was left alone to tend to myself
Dark beyond any hope of site
I walked blindly through what felt like nothing
Searching for hours for any sign of light
But found not even a spark
I screamed out hoping some one might hear
Then I waited for even just an echo
But I was only met by silance
What felt like a tear ran down my face
For the first time I truely felt betrayed
I fell to my knees and gave up any hope
closing my eyes I looked deep into myself
Retracing every scar
I found a million regrets I never let go
And every mistake I made
The blame I shoulder for what I cant control
Opening my eyes the dark seemed so inviting
But even the darkest nights cant last forever
The sun danced around the sky today
And birds sang such a sweet melody
Every answere became so clear to me
Nothing really matters
If we can live content with ourselves
