They'll laugh at me to see

Contributed by screwge on Thursday, 26th November 2009 @ 10:59:57 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

They'll laugh at me to see
The thin computer sprawling in the dark,
Its light splashed on an arch
And me full of contempt for the parcel's rays.

The parcel in the dark whose words
Might be liquidated to
The fortune's vain consummation
In the dark.

I make transactions here;
I build blocks with keys; these keys
Do not unlock
The filthy stock in your mind.

Stand at the doorway mildly
And watch the rabid
Maw, the pincers
As they choose ravenously.

As soft as any porn, tender knowing
That you are sick,
Sick with any delusion that you
Offer and can offer something.

That is love and it is lording
Files let me lord my
Files over you,
And flies flit around the sunken plates.

Plates I collect
For you, crumbs I cobble
In the light of the one Ultimate
Excellency, rectilinear dish.

I won't cater your food
No more food
For you, don't eat atop your
Homework reams of paper.

I think it is a glass, a dish, a journal--
Your computing tool--
I think it hates math, hates computing too.
I think it is like you, hates cohabitation.

I do think I could split the monitor
Into pages, read a little, write my code of parts
About you; trust me, the Roman alphabet is all stars
I make it that approachable.

Save face
And forsake mechanism
Your painting searches for you
On a mouse's wheel.

Engine aches a little
For a site--searches with preciosity
Or it is easy weary
Pizza man galumphing home, good connection

Bored accountant,
Spilled your red sauce and murdered
An abacus,
Parted the lips of sacrificial stone.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
