when there's a sound of settling in the room,
the pin drops are bound to be louder than the truth.
second best never looked that bad until i sat next to you.
the pain is deep as circumstance just keeps pressing on the wound.
and now the sound of silence is setting in...

undressing all the clues, i stepped on my own shoes,
and stripped myself down to nothing but my skin.
so be my warmth and let's unglue ourselves from the world my friend.
let us lock our hands and continue this dance we've landed in.
then the sounds we miss will speak again...

i can hear the sound of breaking in your voice,
we've made some mistakes but we'll escape all this noise.
falling is scary, so keep all your poise.
with all these sounds complicating we're left with no choice.
the sound of us can defeat the loudest of sins...
