THE BEND IN THE RIVER

AS I PAUSE AT THE BEND IN THE RIVER.
TO GAZE AT THE WONDERS OF GOD.
THE BEAUTY OF NATURE SURROUNDS ME,
I PONDER WHICH PATHWAY TO TROD.

SHALL I FOLLOW THE PATH UPSTREAM?
THIS MAY BE BURDENED WITH STRONG CURRENT AND PAIN.
OR DRIFT DOWN WITH SWIFT DRIVEN WATER,
THAT COULD LEAD TO TORMENT AND SHAME.

WHICH PATH I CHOOSE TO FOLLOW.
IN WHAT ERE DIRECTION I GO.
I KNOW HE IS BESIDE ME.
NO MATTER HOW WATERS FLOW.

KEEP IN MIND MY FELLOW MEN,
IN WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE IN LIFE,
THERE ARE MANY DIRECTIONS TO PONDER,
REMEMBER TO KEEP HIM IN SITE.

THINK OF THE PATHWAYS TO FOLLOW,
WITH MANY JAGGED CROOKS AND TURNS.
YOU CAN MAKE YOUR JOURNEY EASY,
WITH GOD BY YOUR SIDE AT EACH TURN.
