before i realize that i am mortal
or
how many days must i live
until i come to accept death as my fate
or
how many days must i suffer
before it all bears down on me
i wish i knew
then i wouldn't

| strong emotion in this one, awareness of the futility of life maybe? i like the layout and the rhetorical questions. maybe read my poem 'inhale...exhale', its the same sort of feelings. great write, keep them coming, Kate x |
