I whisper a secret into your ear
And watch as there appears a tear
I smile as I know that you care
Never telling upon even a dare
I know that with you, my secret is safe
To you I come with all due haste
Through all the bad times and the good
You have always understood
Sharing tears of joy and tears of pain
Trusting you will always be the same
A true friend will always be there
A true friend will always care
