Truth: Part 3

Contributed by redmurcury on Monday, 23rd November 2009 @ 07:43:57 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

This time is now more personal
The feeling’s irreversible
I can’t accept a tragedy
For what this love I chose to be
Breaking free of sadness grasp
A bitter struggle paid to lasting memories
Of goodness sake
The time I have’s not mine to take

Do you love me?
Tell the truth

I would’ve thought you’ve gotten
Used to bearing pain
Shoved away the same mistake
Of hidden romance
Leave my warnings for the ones who are still learning
Life’s mistake
And what takes from everyone
There’s nothing left for us to keep

Do you love me?
Please don’t lie

My heart was broke a thousand times
With no regret or hugs and kisses
May you honor my last wishes
Take from me what you were given
My heart, a kiss all wrapped in ribbons
Of my promise I can keep
Thrown from ledges far too steep
Hold my hand and don’t let go

Do you love me?
Let it show

Caring not the distance traveled
Slowly letting time unravel
Leaving me alone to wonder
How I ever did without
You in my life
I write these words to tell the truth
Of how I really feel about you
Straight from deep within my heart
I pour these words onto the page
To let you know how much I love you

Do you love me?
Please say yes.
