General Reflection
As I often do, I sit here now to reflect
On many things in my life, mostly what I didn’t expect
I search for the meanings and the all reasons
To what has passed like do the different seasons.
The ones that return to surface over and over again
That I seem not to be grasping the message they’re trying to send
The older I become the more inclined I am to believe
Total understanding is something we can never achieve
Things take place at their moment and in their own time
Answers to the understanding may take years for us to find
When certain things seem to occur with great consistence
I want to know the reasons, I want no delay or resistance
As time passes I realize I may do only what I can
it may not have been for me to understand
Things take place in our lives for all kinds of reasons
Affecting all those around us just like do the seasons
The way I see it may not be the way for it you to perceive
Not mine but your own inflection is what you should believe
Which brings me back to my true reason for reflection
Stick to what I already knew from previous inspection.
Hopefully I learned what I should have at that time
That it will help uncover in the future what I am to find.
