Opening up

Contributed by Deidra_Carmichael on Sunday, 22nd November 2009 @ 11:54:47 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As time goes by I find myself instead
Of telling you the truth I leave it all unsaid
Oh how I wish I could open up to you like a book
But sadly I feel as if you'll give me a disturbed look
However there are so many details I can elaborate on
Why don't I describe them as this poem goes on

First of I love your eyes I mean I really do
With their almond shape and size they remind me
How one can be adorable like you
Next I shall want to describe your hair
It lays in a U shaped style
Hanging just above the shoulders
It is a decent length for me to admire and picture
And within this picture lies lusciousness and beauty

Now you wanna know what has me really adoring you
It's your smile, with it you light up a room
As if a lamp were being turned on
This makes you the more attractive to me everyday
Without it you just wouldn't be you

After all this talk of physical appearances
I need to elaborate on the subject of character
Your personality is what defines you
And is the one I love
For without it you wouldn't be worth
Writing about as much
Your personality expresses decency and morality
Now don't get me wrong you have your boyish days
But this is natural your type does
Yet I'm still satisfied
You're love for God is what really
Started my passion for you
I felt you must know this due to the fact
I'm opening up now
If I didn't mention this how could I truly be honest
I don't know how

Well put together. I especially liked this little bit:

'Your personality is what defines you
And is the one I love
For without it you wouldn't be worth
Writing about as much'

So true, so true.
