Very, Merry, Terry,
is no guy you want to know.
He's selective and elective
and he makes an awful beau.
He has been with many lassies
who have figured they could win
in that contest known as dating
that folks enter out and in.
Now, I'm nice and I'm polite
and for the ladies, open doors,
But the ladies see me mostly as,
the biggest of the bores.
The ladies on the other hand
see him as cavalier,
These ladies will bring vodka
while Terry brings the beer.
Now, I'm sweet and I'm a pleasure
and I always pay the tab,
and the ladies eat good measure
then..my heart they give a stab.
The ladies on the other hand
see him as debonnaire
They will bring all kinds of money
while Terry brings the air.
Girls, assess the matter
and tell me what you think.
If you're gonna chase a rainbow
you must stand upon the brink.
Would it not be slightly better
that with one you found a link,
he may not shine like sunlight
but he won't vanish in a blink.

the truth be known. poetry is an imaginatory
animal which need have nothing to do with
the poet. i write like aesop wrote. he didn't
know a fox who found sour grapes.
sorry, old dear, i'm more like terry than
i wish to admit...a bounder type...
let the buyer beware. |

Ah problem, this is No 8 (not the last one) oh the stress the stress...............
This is really a great write ( no carping criticism here) mind you as my Grandma used to say (and she had a saying for everything)
"There's non so deaf as those who don't wish to hear."
For technique and skill this is your best so far. One can't draw comparisons on content because they are all so different and equally good in their own way |
