It was a sunny day,
blue was everywhere with not a hint of gray.
I was on a journey, trecherous and long,
but I was accompanied by landscape and good song.
Dolores was putt putt putting away,
for it was a game with the Scrabble Goddess I wished to play.
The Goddess of Scrabble has never been beat,
without a single loss, she knows no defeat.
One man came close to matching her score,
just one point behind when he placed down "whore."
She giggled alout as if one tickled her feet,
and placed all seven letters down, all nice and neat.
Arriving at her Palace of Letters,
I screamed out a challenge, and yelled I was better.
From her tower she looked down upon me,
I could tell by her smile, my challenge brought glee.
Inside her scrabble room is where I met her,
she sat on golden throne, an array of glimmering letters.
The Goddess of Scrabble was more beautiful than anything I did see,
she was extremely attractive, especially to me.
In playing the goddess, my life I did barter,
which only made the game a little bit harder.
I had told myself the victor was to be me,
but she went first and placed down "artery."
The Goddess of Scrabble drew six at a time,
aghast I spoke not a word, I felt like a mime.
Double and triple word score were all she would play,
my letters were worthless, all vowels in disarray.
Her vocabulary skills were tuned so fine,
when she won I simply hung my head and began crying.
In a dungeon is now where I live,
to the Goddess of Scrabble, everything I did give.
Dolores is outside, a pile of rust,
all I am fed is water and bread with no crust.
For someone to save me, I do pray,
for the Goddess of Scrabble has to lose one day!
The END :).
