Why did you do this?

All I wanted was the truth

All it took was a simple “no”
We could’ve had something
We could’ve been something

I told you how I felt
You never said to back off
You never said you didn’t love me

You tried explaining why you couldn’t be with me
“It’s complicated”
No it’s not, it’s simple.

“There’s something in the way”
Yeah, There is.
Her.

“I really love you, it’s just-”
It’s just you love her more
I get it

So tell me
Why did you lead me on?
Why didn’t you just save my tears?

Just saved the pointless explaining?
Saved the countless “oh, I’m fine.”
Saved the days -the weeks- of my crying

You don’t realize how badly it hurts
To have your heart torn again
Just after it started to heal

You just don’t get it

Why did you do this?
