May I follow you to the mountains, may I hold you for all time?
When its time for you to leave me, could I trace your footprints?
My steps on them would be light, they would make you come alive
Wake you again, to you and to me, and to those old storms…
May I dance in your fires from all your moments away?
May I be the kiss that’s going to come your way?
Away from me, can I run to you for a while yet?
Keep me near you love, inside our circles of flight
Hold me close to you once more, before you go away
Find me in those nights you planned, away from our song
Tell me again we can run away, and I can paint these hours
Look at us one last time my love, before you blow these candles…
