Grief

To create
to exsist
to give to recieve
to dream
to feel loss
and to gain
to go on without shame
or is it also part of the game
everything hoped for
in your mind remains
reality chokes out its sustain
nightmares never dreamed
haunt you in the day
as time gives way you realize
what you never thought would be
has come true
the darker side has shown through
stealing the joy you once knew
and the happiness inside of you
sorrow each day
becoming part of you
a new reality shows itself to you
pain is real to everyone
so sad so sad
the joy is gone

this is probably going to sound wrong but i love this poem, it is on the whole very sad but there is something real and beautiful in the dreams lost within it, it conjures up an image in my mind of a single star in the night sky, sad and lonely looking maybe but also poignant and beautiful |
