Power Me Blind

I dance my chaste hours in your veiled corridors
My roots from the dark angels of secret births
Your deed shrouded me forbidden, yet alive
A cerement I wear; my second skin paled
Power me blind if you want me true-blue
I push my boundaries as much as you, dear goddess
Your scheming priests trace us on our wild reticence
When they see I still survive in your thirsty paintings
Take them away from your boudoir, dear darkness
Or power me blind, you know my Nike wings
Your world never had me; you designed it your way
Didn’t you realize I had sloughed you away too?
Power me blind if you now care, dear Gaia
You dare reach out to me like you did today
You gave me a role I was burdened with at birth
And now I see you withering in your own play
I’ll be back in your lap if you paint me in your garden
When our peacocks dance and our reality accepts us
Take me to our temples and be the mother by my side
I will then be the daughter you never could brave...
