There is silence in the room,
No word is said.
the awkwardness is killing me,
my face turns red.
Its so quiet i can hear his heart beat.
pound by pound.
nothing else is heard just his hearts steady sound.
He turns to look at me, then turns his head back fast,
He starts to say something. the silence is broken at last.
Then he says nevermind for there is nothing left to say,
maybe we can solve this conflict another day.
The teacher looks up and sees the tention,
then he says dont even look at eachother this is in-school suspension!
I want us to talk, to work this whole thing out,
i still love you though ! is what i want to shout.
I look up and see his eyes staring into mine,
I turn to see the clock says an hour past nine.
He puts his hand up and makes half of a heart,
So i put mine up and complete the other part.
We both stand up and run out the door,
the teacher is the caller and we have the cellphone,
hey come back here ! IGNORE.

Dear Meghan
I nearly completed the poem, but diddent like the ending.
I think the start was good, but the ending was bad. |
