I Will Always Be Here

Contributed by MoonlightKiss on Monday, 16th November 2009 @ 09:37:34 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Sometimes I wish we were kids again
Where a kiss could lessen any pain
Sometimes I think we're on our own
In this world seemingly made of stone.

But if something knocks you off your feet
And you struggle to stand again
And if your faith is blown away in the wind
Nothing else, you can contain
If someday you find you need some help
You can't do it all on your own
Just remember that I will always be here
And you will never be alone.
If something knocks you off your balance
I shall never ever let you fall
If your heart is hurt by the one you love
And you fight to stand tall
If someday you figure out you need someone
To talk to on the phone
Just know that I will always be here
You will never be alone.

Sometimes I wish we were kids again
With souls too innocent to distrust
Be we both know we aren't
So I will do whatever I must
To show you...

That if something blocks your only way out
And you feel cornered and alone
If you're dumped out on the cold, hard street
'Cause he left you on your own
If someday you can't find your guiding sun
Is it hiding behing a cloud?
I will help you search for your dreams
This's something I don't doubt
If something picks you up out of your life
Where you don't wanna be
Look to your left and look to your right
Surely, you will see me
Because I will never leave your side
Together, we have grown
I will forever and always be here
You will never be alone.

There was some really beautiful sentiment and emotion behind this, and you tied it all together excellently. I particularly liked the line 'In this world seemingly made of stone', it certainly feels like it is a lot of the time.
