Violation Of The Night

Contributed by laststarontheleft on Monday, 16th November 2009 @ 05:45:23 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The wind is fierce against my skin
It strips me naked to the core
My heart ripped open for all to see
How did I get here?
I lay, bleeding salty tears
No one comes to rescue me
The night gets darker, darker still
Are the thoughts inside my mind
How could you do this?
How could you just leave me here?
My legs can't walk, I shiver so
Can anybody hear me cry?
I need a blanket to warm me
Safe arms to envelope me
My entire soul has been smeared
And I want to get dressed now

Well, for being fictional you have certainly captured as well as conveyed a horrid act...a horrid feeling I am sure.

Very well done.

Very dark and intimidating. Captures the dark side of something that so many people try to make light of. Glad it's purely fictional..
Take care.

It's so sad and what an awakening
that when you are really down and out
the world turns it's back on you, not a friend in sight
only then when we've been to the bottom
do we know that in ourselves dwells
that true courage strength to move on
this world can strip us bare leave us cold
but we musn't let it break us
fantastic revealation greatly brave
